Hello Everyone!
It has been a long time. I will get into that in just a second but it feels so good to be back. I greatly appreciate anyone that reads these silly posts of mine and if you are reading this, that means I greatly appreciate you. Yes, you, right there reading this, thank you from the bottom of my heart.
So, onto the explanation. I don’t want to get into too much detail but things got dark for a while. The good news is I SURVIVED! And things have gotten better.
The truth is that I was gone for a while. In the beginning of 2020 I was very hopeful. My wife and I had saved up a good amount of money and we were looking to get our very own condo; you know, in the olden times, when housing prices were rough but possible to afford, unlike now where you have to essentially win the lottery to afford a very basic home.
We moved in with my Father-in-law to save money and look for our own place to buy. We were finally going to live like the adults we read about in stories when we were little.
But, things did not work out well. To make a long story short here are the bullet points:
- The Pandemic happened (still happening)
- My wife looked like she was losing her job (she didn’t thank goodness)
- My Father-in-law began to have health problems
- I fell into a deep depression, got suicidal a couple times
- I had a near complete disassociation from reality exactly one year ago today
I don’t mean to write this to make you feel bad for me. I really don’t. I just needed to get it out there and explain why this blog has laid dormant for so long.
But the good news is, I am BACK baby!
I finally got a therapist and learned some tools to cope better with my Bipolar disability. In case you didn’t know, I have Bipolar 2 disorder and you can read more about it here if you like. I talked to my psychiatrist and got my medications adjusted to a much healthier dose.
I also got a new job that I love more than any job I have ever had and I actually look forward to going to work for the first time in my life. Life is looking up again!
If you have made it this far, thanks again. I am planning to start posting more frequently now that I am feeling well. I have a new series that I will debut shortly, probably tomorrow, and I have so many adventures to catch you all up on. I am really excited to get back all that I had lost and to share it with you all. Stay Tuned.
